Our Vision
At Allambie House, we understand that choosing a care home for a loved one is an important decision. That’s why we’ve created a place where residents can feel truly at home, surrounded by kindness, compassion, and a strong sense of community. Allambie House is more than just a care home.
About Allambie House
Allambie House is situated in the heart of Coventry, just a short walk from the town centre. Housed in a charming three-story Victorian building, we accommodate up to 30 residents across 28 spacious rooms. Our home features inviting communal lounges, peaceful quiet areas, and a dedicated hairdressing room. With convenient access to local shops, places of worship, parks and excellent transport links, Allambie House offers both residents and visitors easy access to everything they need. It’s the perfect place to call home.
Services & Care
The staff are committed to delivering high-quality care, offering assistance with daily activities, emotional support, and medication management while encouraging residents to maintain independence wherever possible. Activities at Allambie House are designed to promote social engagement and mental stimulation, with alternative one-on-one interactions for those who prefer not to participate in group settings. The home values the involvement of family and friends, encouraging regular visits to maintain close relationships that enhance residents' overall well-being.
The facility features accessible and well-equipped communal areas, such as lounges, dining rooms, and conservatories, along with private rooms designed to meet individual preferences. Allambie House is an ideal choice for older adults requiring assistance with daily living, those seeking a balance of social interaction and private time, and individuals needing specialized care for conditions such as dementia, frailty, or physical disabilities. Known for its dedicated staff and nurturing atmosphere, Allambie House Care Home provides residents with a fulfilling and safe living environment, making it a trusted choice for families in Coventry.

Personal Care and Support
Each resident receives a personalized care plan, tailored to their specific needs and preferences. Care plans are regularly reviewed, with any updates or changes discussed in collaboration with healthcare professionals and GPs. We maintain ongoing conversations with residents to ensure their needs, desires, and well being are always a priority. All individuals, regardless of background, identity, or orientation, are welcomed and respected, including those from BAME and LGBT communities

Food and Dining
We understand that mealtimes are an important part of daily life. That’s why all our meals, from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, are carefully prepared on-site by our team of dedicated chefs. We are committed to offering a diverse selection of nutritious, wholesome, and delicious meals, designed to meet the individual tastes and dietary needs of each resident.

Recreation and Activities
At Allambie House, we believe daily activities are vital to enhancing the well-being and quality of life of our residents. Our dedicated Activities Coordinator collaborates closely with each individual to offer a diverse range of meaningful activities, including baking sessions, quiz afternoons, arts and crafts, and pet therapy. These thoughtfully designed programs support personal interests, encourage social connection, and promote mental and emotional wellness

Dad was a resident at Allambie House from June 2022 until his death in October. I can't speak too highly of the care he received from all of the staff at Allambie. They all put the needs of those in their care first and respect their dignity at all times. The staff also made me, my brother and other visitors feel welcome and became 'friends' to us. I would happily recommend Allambie to anyone needing a short or longer stay in a care home.

My mum spent 5 weeks in Allambie House after spending with 5 weeks in hospital. This was a new experience and very daunting for my mum and for me, but after a few days she settled in very well. The staff were incredibly good, getting to know my mum and her needs, giving me updates when i visited and they went above and beyond when catering for all of her needs and helping her to get better.
The home was secure and i saw many happy residents who were treated with the utmost respect.
My mum is back home now with carers visiting multiple times a day but if she ever needs to go back into a care home then I would wait for Allambie House to have a vacancy.

My 96 year old aunt has recently had several falls at home and is no longer able to look after herself, she has now become a permanent resident at Allambie house, she has a lovely large, clean, bright and warm room, the staff are looking after her and she's settled in well, she says that the meals are very nice and that she's being well looked after. None of us have previous experience of residential care but if the Allambie continues with the high standards, we will consider the cost money well spent.
